MYSIE Raised in South London with Ugandan roots, Mysie is a multidisciplinary artist, producer, songwriter whose genre-bending sound blurs the lines between electronic, dance music and alt pop music. From an early age, she was immersed in a mosaic of influences: electronic, dance, pop, rap, hip hop, indie electronica, and alternative music. Although classically trained as a pianist, her creative journey began as a dancer in a krump collective, where she first encountered experimental hip hop and the work of J Dilla, Flying Lotus, and Thundercat. This discovery ignited her passion for crafting music with the same boundary-pushing spirit. Since 2019, Mysie has released three critically acclaimed EPs, received an Ivor Novello Rising Star Award with Apple Music, and been featured in The Fader, Notion, Wonderland, Clash, NME, Elle, The Line of Best Fit, and more. Her work has been championed by BBC Radio 1, 1Xtra, 6 Music (including BBC Radio 1 Introducing Track of the Week), and Apple Music One, while The Sunday Times, The Guardian, The Independent and Jamz Supernova have named her one to watch. In 2024, she released her project ‘CONTROLLA’, an exploration of identity and resilience that garnered over 6.8 million streams and cemented her place as an independent artist. The record chronicled her experience navigating the challenges of being a black female producer and songwriter in the UK and marked a moment of taking ownership of her voice and her creative process without compromise. Mysie’s upcoming project “SALTY”, released in 2025, goes deeper into the sound she has been steadily cultivating. “SALTY” draws inspiration from breakbeats and percussive textures reminiscent of artists like Peshay and Nookie, while also experimenting with a range of rhythmic approaches. Alongside these percussive elements, the project is shaped by the wavy chords and atmospheric layers found in the work Yaeji, Lone, and Machinedrum. Thematically, “SALTY” unpacks the aftertaste of disappointment and the lingering bitterness that follows betrayal in friendships and the music industry alike. This record isn’t about staying resentful, it's about self-awareness and letting go. CHOVO The young newcomer Chovo expresses herself through German RnB music. Accompanied by nostalgic, smooth beats, her powerful vocals narrate intimate stories that provide insights into her world. Chovo confronts the various struggles of growing up highlighting the contradictory expectations placed on women and second-generation migrants. Through her music she claims her rightful place in Austria as a young woman with Indian roots. Her highly anticipated debut album in collaboration with Viennese producers Osive, Christoh, and Felís, was released in December 2024. Between boss-bitch energy and soft femininity, it is full of contradictions making it all the more authentic. Her songs No Go (July 2024) and Boy Bye (May 2025) were in the FM4 Charts for many weeks and her success at winning the FM4 Protestsongcontest in 2025 gave her further recognition. She has been performing live in Austria since 2023 and played her first international concert at Unreleased Berlin in March 2025. She is currently working on her next EP (to be released by Sony Music/Jive Germany) and preparing for her first festival summer.
